Riverfest is one of the Hometown Festivals in Charming Ottawa
One of the perks of living in Ottawa or owning/renting a vacation cottage here is the hometown festivals. Riverfest is Ottawa’s annual, and LaSalle County’s largest festival. It runs from Monday, August 1st to Sunday, August 7th. Events include carnival rides, art shows, craft and flea market, kids activities, live music, a parade, Art in the Park, a 5K, The Taste of Ottawa and more! Riverfest truly has something for everyone!
Taste of Ottawa
To tempt the taste buds this year there will be everything from pizza, bbq ribs and grilled chicken sandwiches to delicious desserts like root beer floats, salted caramel ice cream and snow cones! The Taste runs from Thursday, August 4th through Saturday, August 6th and begins at 6:00pm each night. Participating restaurants include:

Tangled Roots Brewing Company
Food and beverage tickets can be purchased in advance online through August 3, at Ottawa City Hall and Ottawa Visitors Center. There is also an admission fee of $2.00 per person.
There is an amazing line up of live music again this year. It’s sure to get your toes tapping and fingers snapping! There will be tribute bands and solo acoustic performances. There is something for everyone. Here is the current schedule:
